| Web resources
on Pastoralists in the Horn of Africa.
Compiled
by Resoum Kidane
The Horn of Africa Pastoralists
have been the victims of drought and conflict in the
last 25 years. As a result of conflicts, land mines
and drought, many of them have been displaced from their
land resources. This human devastation was mainly caused
by the internal instability and climetic variation.
Many local and international organisations have intervened
to resolve this disaster, and many of their works have
been published in print and electronic media. With the
arrival of the internet, many organisations have made
their publications accessible on the web in order to
share their experience with other researchers, donor
organisations, and policy makers. However, it is not
an easy task, to find them on the web, as there are
billions of documents on the net. This is one of the
reasons for compiling some useful web resources on Pastoralists
in the Horn of Africa:
• to help researchers and other policy makers,
who are interested in this subject, and
• to identify relevant resources on Pastoralists
in the Horn of Africa for the use of researchers .
The entry of these web resources are divided by Pastoralists
in the Horn of Africa; organisation websites on Pastoralist
and other related to climate change.
Most of the resources are research papers of academics
and researchers interested in Pastoralist report papers,
on-going projects concerning Pastoralists , Report papers
of policy-makers, grassroots organizations and NGOs.
